First of all, I can’t think of a single Nicholas Cage movie I’ve seen that I’ve been astounded by. Not entirely true, I guess. I went to see ‘Ghost Rider’ with some friends after smoking at least 3 blunts in my friend’s car outside the theater. We had planned it out so that no matter how shitty the movie was going to be we’d be ultimately amazed at the fact that Cage could turn into a burning skeleton that rides a motorcycle. That’s the kind of high thoughts that make just about anything worth ‘preparing’ for.
Edit: I take it back, Raising Arizona was good. Been a while since I’ve seen it though.
